Need your setup on every device? Optional Pro sync keeps your data in your own account, protected by per-user row-level security and encrypted in transit and at rest. Common questions

Does it slow down my browser?
No. Orbit Station only loads on the new tab page — it doesn't inject scripts into other sites or run in the background. The animations are buttery smooth and use almost zero CPU. Everything loads instantly so your new tab feels snappy every time.
What about my privacy?
Free Orbit Station is local-first and private: no account, no tracking, no analytics. Your links, workspaces, notes, and todos stay in your browser via chrome.storage.local and we cannot see them. Cross-device sync is an optional Pro feature — when you choose to sign in, your own data is synced to your private, account-scoped storage protected by per-user row-level security. The only other optional request is the weather widget (Open-Meteo), which is off by default.
Can I go back to the default new tab?
Yes, instantly. Just disable or remove the extension from your browser's extensions page and your original new tab returns. Your Orbit Station config is also exportable as a JSON file, so you never lose your setup.
Which browsers are supported?
Any modern Chromium-based browser. Safari and Firefox support is planned for a future release.
Do I need to pay to use it?

How does cross-device sync work?
Cross-device sync is an opt-in Pro feature. Sign in once with Google, turn on sync, and your galaxies, links, notes, todos, and settings stay mirrored across every Chrome browser you use — updating in near real-time. Your data lives in your own account-scoped storage with per-user row-level security, encrypted in transit and at rest. You can turn sync off or export everything as JSON at any time.
How is this different from Momentum?
